My name is Dr Anges Anum I am based in Cardiff Metropolitan University as head of department for Data Science before moving to Cardiff met I was based in University of Sheffield UK where I did my study my PhD and my and then I eventually moved to Cardiff but that’s me in short the reason I’m here today is to kind of it’s a two-way session as we have been doing pretty much every session in two ways it’s not about me coming here and presenting you set up slides and trying to inform you but it’s also about understanding what AI in education means to you in Mangalore University and maybe some other constituent colleges where you are working.

You we are all here as a part of the Workshop under the Karnataka Wales universities partnership program. This partnership program was initiated by the government of Karnataka.
Where they offered the universities in Karnataka to have a partnership with any of the five universities in the Wales State wherein we submitted our expression of interest and
Cardiff Metropolitan University accepted our interest and we have a join collaborative project that is about to come as a part of that partnership program.
We are here today with this Workshop two experts two distinguished personalities from Cardiff Metropolitan University Professor Chaminda Hiag and Professor Angesh Anupam are here with us
on behalf of all of you and on behalf of Mangalore University from the Department of Electronics wholeheartedly welcome professor Chaminda and professor Anupam welcome to you.

Workshop on Problem based Learning

Session so the first part will be problem based learning but I’ll do a bit of comparison with Project based learning as well uh down the line so we will outline uh the approach and possible solutions what are the opportunities and barriers as well to adapt problem based learning in the classroom as well as how we can align for the program objectives learning objectives of each module you call here papers or course or module and the learning approaches and then how we can link it to the assessment as well so it’s like uh the workshop we did yesterday I can see familiar faces from yesterday as well so you will give them students problem and they have to come up with a solution so that’s the approach so it can be a particular part of the module or it can be the whole module you give a big problem to them and you will you will teach different material in order to overcome the address that particular problem and you will come up with the solution as well yeah thank you so this is a activity for all of you.
